From WhichBingo.com to CMoftheYear.com to WhichCM.com

In the dim and distant past of the internet (well Autumn 2001) WhichBingo.com decided that, because online bingo players loved their CMs sooooo much that they should be recognised in some way. This led to, in December 2001, the inaugural 'CM of the Year award. The vote was hosted at WhichBingo.com, and was a phenomenal success – much bigger than anyone had suspected.

Because the vote was so successful, WhichBingo decided to launch a stand-alone CM-focussed site along with a monthly, rather than annual, vote. The CMoftheYear site went live in May 2002 and very quickly added a forum and a 'Featured CM' section, alongside the vote.

The site grew and grew adding UK-specific Featured CMs in 2005 and UK-specific monthly voting in September 2006. Following many requests from both players and sites we also launched our free Jobs section.

More recently, in Autumn 2009 the site underwent a huge re-design and re-build, with a full database of all online bingo CMs, a great new look and feel , loads more functionality for CM Team Managers, and the introduction of the ‘Question of the Month’ page.

Nine years since the first vote, the site is so much more than just an annual vote, so we felt it was necessary to show this in the site’s title and URL. The site has always been known as a site owned by WhichBingo so we felt it would bring the whole story full circle to rename it WhichCM. But don’t worry, the domain www.cmoftheyear.com isn’t going anywhere; it will still host the annual search for ..... CM of the Year.
