Q1: Tell us a little bit about you.

I have been married 30 years to my best friend and have two fabulous sons and the most beautiful granddaughter on earth. We live in a rural area with a beautiful pond that I love to fish and swim in. The only bad thing about it is that we can’t get takeout delivered back here lol. I feel the best things in life are free- love, laughter and smiles and that nobody can make you happy. You have to just roll with life and look at the good in every situation.

Q2: How long have you been a Chat Host?

I’ve been a chat host now for 6 years and loved every minute of it.

Q3: How did you become a Chat Host?

I had a CM friend call me out of the blue and offer me a job- I only stayed a year and decided I needed to find a better site- that’s when I found my home at ZANY BINGO and have been here ever since.

Q4: What do you like most about the job?

Definitely the people! Plus I have the best boss in the industry to work for. I learn so much everyday from my roomies who live all over the world. Come on in one day and you too can find out what haggis is lol. Oh and the pyjama party we have Sunday nights is a blast! Everyone gets to pick a chat color- it’s the most beautiful room you’ve ever seen!

Q5: What is the worst part of the job?

The ever-widening bingo butt syndrome!

Q6: Which are your favorite chat room games?

I like interactive games where the players have to be involved in some way. And I just love our surprise pattern where everyone tries to guess what the pattern will be.

Q7: What is the funniest thing that has ever happened whilst you have been in a chat room?

Typos- without a doubt! I made one I can’t even repeat lol. Let’s just say that I MEANT to tell someone who was leaving to take a shower “Don’t forget your rubber ducky.”

Q8: What makes a good Chat Host?

To be a good chat host you have to love working with people. You need good organizational skills, be able to do 15 things at once and be willing to go that extra mile to put a smile on that face in the crowd that is having a bad day. Bingo players aren't always there just for bingo. There is always someone who is in need of a friend- just someone who will listen. A good CM will do all in her power to create a pleasant atmosphere in chat. She will also take great care in crediting her bonus bucks. Players look forward to getting them and are very disappointed when they are missed or shorted by mistake. Lastly, a good CM will always treat every player fairly and equally. It's easy to appear to have favorites because some are more vocal than others and of course you are going to talk more to those that are talking to you. But, always remember there are shy folks who enjoy chatting if someone would just make a move to include them :)

Q9: How would you like to see online bingo (as a whole) develop?

I would love for laws to change allowing people to have easier ways to fund their accounts. Also I would like to see advertising on TV to target people that travel at night to land bingo. It is so much safer and a lot more fun to play online where you can talk to people, make new friends and learn more about other cultures..

Q10: Any other comments that you'd like to add about being a Chat Host?

Only to thank everyone for making my job so enjoyable! I look forward to each and every day. I want to thank my boss Debbie for always being there to back up her CMs and for doing everything in her power to ensure a fun and honest game for all to enjoy. We have the best CM team on the net - all of us having worked for the company no less than 5 years. Please come and see for yourself - I can guarantee you won’t find a better group of people to play bingo with!
