Q1: Tell us a little bit about you.

Well first off I am flattered to be asked to be a featured host. I decided to stay home from my land job 2 years ago and help take care of my mother whose health is failing. I have 2 children both grown and married with great spouses. I love to cook and have entered the Pillsbury Bake Off a couple times. I have a recipe section here on cmoftheyear in the forum. I also found a new passion in writing. I have my first book of poetry due out soon if I can ever get this format down they want lol. I have started my second book but it will be a romance novel murder mystery. Also in the forum I have a section for talented people online to share their works with us all. I have a couple poems posted there also.

Q2: How long have you been a Chat Host?

I have hosted about 4 years now.

Q3: How did you become a Chat Host?

Well if you are ever in my chat room you will see I love to talk! Really, I became a host because I had a crisis in my life. I had such great support from my fellow roomies and the Chat Hosts I wanted to give back. Pay it forward they say and be there for someone else. Since becoming a host, I have helped save a roomie's life. She was home alone and didn't feel well all of a sudden. She wanted to wait for family to come home. I convinced her to call 911 and she was life flighted that fast and 5 days later I found out she had a heart attack and if she hadn't gotten help when she did would have been fatal. I was just happy to be there for her then.

Q4: What do you like most about the job?

Oh my that’s a hard one. Well in the chat room I have to love the laughs and the love we all have for each other at WBN. Not a day goes by I am not literally having a good belly laugh. I love people and we all need a friend once in awhile and I try to be that friend. I enjoy helping people and introducing them to WBN and entertaining them also. Outside of the chat room I love the opportunities I have with WBN. What a great organization! I love to make chat games and the support and knowledge I gain from the other CL’s you can’t match anywhere!

Q5: What is the worst part of the job?

Is there a worst part? If there is I can’t figure it out. I just love doing what I do.

Q6: Which are your favorite chat room games?

I like a lot of them. My favourites are the team kind of games. As I said before, I love to make up new chat games and always finding a way to make them fun. I really enjoyed Spicy Trivia when I had it also. That was a hoot.

Q7: What is the funniest thing that has ever happened whilst you have been in a chat room?

I had to think about this because there have been so many things in my career so far as a host. What stands out in my mind mostly at this time, was when the hosts and the roomies had a special bingo game where they played against each other. I am always acting silly just my nature I guess. Well I went in the room saying I had a sign KICK ME on my back. I kept pretending running around with this sign on my back until LOL another host booted me out of chat! LOL that was hilarious. I went back in and she booted me again! She was also working the regular chat room at the time so I went in that room and booted her. She came to me in messenger and said if you don't want to work you better not do that again! Yikes lol she scared me!

Q8: What makes a good Chat Host?

I personally think a good Chat Host is someone who can make people feel they are a welcomed guest in your home. Someone who can entertain but at same time be attentive to players needs. Someone who will take the time and patience to introduce new players to all and helping them become a part of their bingo family. Someone who can provide a laugh on a rainy day or celebrate a spectacular moment in someone’s life with them, or just a shoulder to lean on when needed. Being a host has responsibilities but to me the most important thing to being a good host is to wake up every day and ask yourself what can I do to make things better not only for myself, but for my roomie friends, and for your organization. So I wakeup with a smile and energy and hope I can brighten the lives of others for just one moment in the day.

Q9: How would you like to see online bingo (as a whole) develop?

A fellow CL at WBN makes a great suggestion and I totally agree would love to see bingo at your finger tips on your cell phones and be able to play on an IPOD. Bingo on the GO!

Q10: Any other comments that you'd like to add about being a Chat Host?

I want to thank all who has contributed to my journey as a chat host thus far. I couldn't have done it without any of you. The players at WBN you rock! The CL Team the best on the net in my opinion! The back of the house staff the techs, accounts, support, and management brings you the best gaming experience possible. We offer so many great bingo rooms, slots, and a casino!
