Q1: Tell us a little bit about you.

My name is Samantha. I live in Ohio right on Lake Erie. I have lived here all my life. I have four truly wonderful children; Kyle 16, Devin 12, Aaliyah 10 & Elena 7. They are my pride and joy and even though some days I want to lock myself in the closet I would be lost without them. I have been with my husband for 11 years & married 6 of them. My favourite past times are scrap booking by myself or with my girls, fishing and writing poetry. I am very blessed in many ways.

Q2: How long have you been a Chat Host?

I have been a chat host since 2004, 7 wonderful years with the same company. The best company in the industry Bingo Entertainment!

Q3: How did you become a Chat Host?

My cousin was a chat host for many years. When I went to visit her she would be working most of the time. One day I started asking her questions and watching what she was doing. She would always talk about her day at work, all the wonderful friends she had made, the good times they had and how much she loved her job so I decided to ask her if she could teach me what she knew.

Q4: What do you like most about the job?

Everything! I seriously have a love and passion for what I do. I love meeting people from all over the world, talking to them & learning new things all the time. I have made some truly wonderful life long friends here. I love playing the games with the roomies and putting a smile on each & every one of their faces. I love going to work everyday and chatting with them all. It is like one big family that you get to see all the time.

Q5: What is the worst part of the job?

There is nothing I dislike about my job, nothing! I have been with my company so long and been through a lot of different situations, working long hours when needed, anything I can to benefit the company and to keep my friends (roomies) happy. The only thing I can honestly say that bothers me is when roomies have conflicts. This is a once a year thing here because we are all like family but even family argue from time to time. That’s the only thing that I don’t like because in my chat room I love to see happy faces & lots lots lots of laughing and having a good time.

Q6: Which are your favorite chat room games?

Keno is my favourite. I love playing this game because it is very different from the rest and roomies have a chance to win 64 BBs~! Next would be Deal or No Deal. This is also unlike the others and is very fun to play. Players win the BBs under the number they bingoed on & then they have a chance to either keep those or risk them and go for what’s under the first ball out on next game. Sometimes it more sometimes it less but it is VERY FUN to play~!! I love to play all of our chat games and any the roomies really look forward to playing as well but those I have to say are my favourite ones right now.

Q7: What is the funniest thing that has ever happened whilst you have been in a chat room?

Oh wow I have tons of real good stories but I have to say the typos. The roomies are used to me & always get a good laugh from my typing. I even have a Boo Boo Clock they rest all day. I have made some REAL BIG ones that at the time were very embarrassing but always make the roomies laugh and me to after I stopped being embarrassed lol. I am very famous for my typos. The roomies have done some pretty good ones as well. It’s always fun to see what someone is going to say next by accident or by typo. Those are always good for a laugh.

Q8: What makes a good Chat Host?

To be a 'good' chat host you have to have a genuine love for making others happy on a daily basis. Always up beat no matter what’s going on, has patience for those trying times, loyal, being able to multitask is a definite MUST, being a team player, love to talk and listen to others, and most important someone that is willing to give 110% each and everyday for their roomies and company. Roomies love a Chat Host that can keep them in good company with good conversation. In my opinion to be a good Chat Host also takes a person that loves what they do! Anyone can do a job but it takes a very special person to be a GOOD Chat Host. Having a good internet connection helps as well LOLOL

Q9: How would you like to see online bingo (as a whole) develop?

I would LOVE to see the regulations and laws change for the USA players. I feel really bad that we lost a lot of REALLY GOOD people due to this and I miss them A LOT!! There is nothing like a room full of roomies from all over the world getting together and having great conversation & fun. Our site has been developing more and more; the changes and upgrades we have made are wonderful and we are still doing them and growing more each day. I think it would be neat to have the option to see everyone live~! Although we joke about how glad we are no one can see us early in the morning it would be neat to have that option. WE ARE THE BEST SITE ON THE NET!!!

Q10: Any other comments that you'd like to add about being a Chat Host?

I am very blessed to have found this company and have this wonderful job. Being a chat host is so very rewarding as I get to help and talk with wonderful people everyday that other wise I never would have met. I look forward to going to work and can’t see myself doing anything else. I am VERY honoured to have been chosen to share my story. An example of the rewarding things we get. In addition to making life long friends and really making a difference in people’s lives. I know that it doesn’t sound like it would happen in what we do but it does. We make a difference for a lot of people daily & there is nothing more rewarding then that~!! Although if anything ever happened & I wasn’t able to be a chat host with my company anymore I wouldn’t work anywhere else as this has become my 2nd home and like they say “there is no place like home.”
