Q1: Tell us a little bit about you.

My name is Michelle, most of my friends call me Chelle. I'm a grandmother to 5 beautiful grandchildren; Justin who is 6, Dianna 3, Champ 18 mo, Chloe 6 mo and the latest little Israel 2 weeks. I love being a grandmother. I only wish I could have had them first then my children. Lmao!!!

Q2: How long have you been a Chat Host?

As of this month I'm going into my 7th year. With the best company going, Bingo Entertainment.

Q3: How did you become a Chat Host?

I guess you could say being at the right place at the right time. I'm a nurse. One night after a 12 hour shift I was wanting to play bingo but at 3am where do you go. So I got online and did a web search and came across a new site called BingoGala. So I deposited to see what it was all about. The next morning I split a jackpot with another player and I was hooked! I was speaking to one of the owners, helping with some chat trivia and nabor games next thing I new I had talked myself into a host job. Which was a stroke of luck, since I hurt my back less than a week later. And here I am a career Chat Host.

Q4: What do you like most about the job?

I would have to say my players. I've had many that have been with me as long as I've been with the company. Some people will say you can't find real friendships online, but you do. And those that you spark friendships with always come back. It's like coming home to one big happy family.

Q5: What is the worst part of the job?

Being a Chat Manager as well as a Chat Host it is tiring, then training a new Chat Host only to have them quit because you actually made them work. I guess they think we're just in the room for ambiance? LOL

Q6: Which are your favorite chat room games?

Anything that keeps me busy. The busier I am the better I function. If the game is slow I feel I don't perform as good as I should.

Q7: What is the funniest thing that has ever happened whilst you have been in a chat room?

Ok, true story... and I still have it come back to haunt me. One day while working an extremely long shift I did a bad typo. Now mind you we are to monitor and not let players cuss, but on this particular occasion I was typing, and didn't even notice when I said "bb 'shitting accounts" gosh I was so embarrassed and at the same time I was laughing till I was in tears. The roomies heckled me for weeks about that. It was suppose to have been "bb's hitting accounts". So now when someone says something we have players on "depends" duty. When something really funny strikes us they have to pass out the depends. :-)

Q8: What makes a good Chat Host?

I would have to say compassion, availability, and a bit of humour. You really have to be a people person. In this line of work you come across all types of people. And you need to be able to laugh and cry with them. That's what makes you family.

Q9: How would you like to see online bingo (as a whole) develop?

Now that they have computers at land bingo, why not let them intermix with online bingo sites. I think it would be an interesting concept. Opens us up a bit more.

Q10: Any other comments that you'd like to add about being a Chat Host?

Just to say, THANK YOU to all those that take the time to be a Chat Host. What you do is important to a lot of people. You brighten up lives that would otherwise be dull and lonesome. You put smiles on faces that may not otherwise smile. You're a shoulder to lean on, and a friend to the end. Keep up the hard work. Someone out there appreciates you more than you may ever know!! :-)
