LadyGodiva from Bingo-Knights
Q1: Tell us a little bit about you.
My name is Nancy but they all call me Diva, even my hubby (who thinks the name fits well) and friends. I am 35 yrs old from West Virginia, been married for 10+ yrs to my great hubby, Andy. I have 2 great girls 11 and 3 yr old. I also have my own business at home operating a horse boarding facility at my present farm I enjoy showing my palomino quarter horse at the AQHA shows. And of course enjoy bingo when I have time.
Q2: How long have you been a Chat Host?
I have been a chat host for a total time of about 2 yrs now. Bingo Knights being my permanent home!
Q3: How did you become a Chat Host?
3. Well, this story is funny I put my short resume on whichbingo.com forum and kept watching for emails, contact, phone calls, etc. Months later when I almost gave up on the idea of returning to CH work, I get a short email, if interested email me back.Q So, naturally full of excitement I hurried to answer, then my phone rings. Queenie on the other line asking questions and me eager to start. She says when can you start, (in my mind thinking a week or so down the road) she says ok get ready you start in about 20 minutes for your first shift! LOL I did one of those OMGs and said OK yes boss! Knowing this is Halloween night and the site was a mad house! I had no macros, no specials done, no chat games rules, and I MADE IT! Went great and it took off from there! And glad to be here in the castle full of roomie friends and CHs that are just outstanding to work with. I have to say this has been the best CH experience I have had!
Q4: What do you like most about the job?
4. Well this answer can be short EVERYTHING! The other CHs and my roomies make each and everyday exciting and enjoyable to come to work! Why do you think I am here so many hours every week. I had to leave to show my horse for a week, and dearly missedem all!! Couldnt wait to get back, gave hubby a welcome back kiss and jumped on the computer, lol. My fellow CHs also make this job wonderful. We are like a tightly knitted family (except no arguing). They are there to talk about anything from work to family issues.
Q5: What is the worst part of the job?
5. There is nothing I can say about worst part of job except I'd rather see my roomies to win all the time. If I had a way to fly out to the "lounge" and get their attention to join me in chat, I would.
Q6: Which are your favorite chat room games?
6. My all time favorite chat game is "Team Bingo"- I spend some time dividing up the roomies to compete for wins for their team. Team with most points at end gets the win, but good thing is we place all roomies! No roomies are losers at Knights. The fun is the roomies chanting and cheering their teams on with their funny little sayings, and rhymes they can come up with. It started out with 2 teams, then has grown to 3, just wait we'll have 4 before it's all over! And then from there I don't mind any of them; new or old I always have something to throw in the works to make it exciting.
Q7: What is the funniest thing that has ever happened whilst you have been in a chat room?
Well, as far as being funny in chat Every time I go in with my roomies we have a blast and laugh about everything. I try to brighten my roomies with a cheerful, happy Diva at their service. But there is one moment that sticks out in my mind and it has to do with our fellow CHs. Well, as we all know, LadyGodiva, has always been known to be a nekkid person, well that Im not, usually working in PJs. Our fellow CH KnaughtyKnight told the roomies he had found something that wasnt his nor his wifes belongings, needless to say it ended up being Godivas thong in his wifes laundry basket, and the sillyness started from there and the roomies roared with laughter!
Q8: What makes a good Chat Host?
I think a good CH should know their bingo site, know their job, games, rulesetc. Be helpful and, most of all being there for your roomies. They look forward to a CH that greets them, says bye, and listens to their everyday problems and situations. A CH needs to lend an ear, and lend a shoulder at any time of the night or day. A great CH can handle a full chat room, run games, listen, talk to 15 roomies at once, and remember each and every roomie and their own personal things, and keep a smile on their face even when having a bad day!
Q9: How would you like to see online bingo (as a whole) develop?
It is a great place from the comfort of your own home to enjoy your bingo friends and play your daily bingo. I see the industry growing rapidly, but needs to keep in good standings to last and keep the bingo place an enjoyable place to come relax and have fun. I think online bingo is a great opportunity for those who cannot get out to their weekly bingo hall. The site has to be fair and honest to make it, and thats what we strive to be.
Q10: Any other comments that you'd like to add about being a Chat Host?
I love it here at Bingo Knights, and invite all of you crazy bingo folks to come join any of us online to get your share of the laughter and fun we have at Knights. There is never a dull moment around this castle and I do honestly believe, it takes an excellent team to make a great bingo site! And that is our number one priority. Remember every Sunday night, Our BingoQueen and BingoKing host a grand CH PARTY and we have a blast and give out tons of BBS to all, so join us and join the fun! If you cant find us, give me a shout and Ill zoom by and pick you up on my magic bingo broom and take you to the Castle.
All the team here at CMOTY would like to say a big 'TY' to LadyGodiva.
