Q1: Tell us a little bit about you.

I am married to Steve and we live with my two grown up kids, one of each, an angel and a devil……….. They take turns ;)

Q2: How long have you been a Chat Host?

Five and a half years now.

Q3: How did you become a Chat Host?

I was a player at Think Bingo….I thought it was a job I would like to do and contacted the boss there and said that if a full time job ever came up I would love to be considered for it. He got back to me and the rest is history :)

Q4: What do you like most about the job?

I love that I can work from home, it’s kind of like a little social club at Think, you get the regulars and newbies who become regulars, friendships are formed. It is by far the best job I have ever had; there are times when I can’t type for laughing at some of the banter we have :)

Q5: What is the worst part of the job?

At times people have bad news and are feeling low, they share this with me and the roomies sometimes, although it is sad it feels that we are sharing their feelings and hope that this can maybe help them.

Q6: Which are your favorite chat room games?

The chat game I loved the most is no more, it was called Think Surprise (aka cms revenge) the idea was that the CM would type the word surprise and the first player to type the word me got the tps. But there was a twist and we would try to trick the roomies by typing words like sunrise, supplies etc… oh I DO miss that chat game :)

Q7: What is the funniest thing that has ever happened whilst you have been in a chat room?

Oh so many, normally it involves a typo, usually done by me….. Normally an innocent word becomes VERY rude; we had a player called Fluck, I accidentally omitted one of the letters In their name The roomies were very amused, I however was not lol.

Q8: What makes a good Chat Host?

Patience, reasonable computer skills, a sense of humour, with a touch of tact and diplomacy 

Q9: How would you like to see online bingo (as a whole) develop?

To be honest the site where I work has gone through many changes in the past, I think that currently it has all that it needs, although I can foresee future developments going more towards voice and visual i.e. Chat hosts appearing via web cams, I personally feel that the day that happens ( if it happens ) is the day I want a hair and make-up allowance :)

Q10: Any other comments that you'd like to add about being a Chat Host?

It is a very sort after job, but I’m not sure that people realise the amount of commitment it takes, and the amount of background work that takes place, it is a job that requires an immense amount of concentration, having said that I really love my job.
